Basketball Recap: Trinity Collegiate's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Trinity Collegiate lost against Wilson Hall back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trinity Collegiate Titans took a 73-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilson Hall Barons. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Barons 26-15 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Trinity Collegiate still got an impressive performance from Landon Wilson, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 28 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Wilson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Evan Williams, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points.

Leading Wilson Hall to victory were Ford Wilder and Hugh Humphries. Wilder almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards, while Humphries went 8 for 12 on his way to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. With that strong performance, Humphries is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Knox Buxton was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 13 points.

Trinity Collegiate's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10. As for Wilson Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Trinity Collegiate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 82-48 win against Hilton Head Christian Academy on the 1st. As for Wilson Hall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-38 victory against John Paul II on the 1st.
