Oak Grove had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 62-33 victory over the Ledford Panthers. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Oak Grove found their leader in sophomore Victoria Lockamy, who went 10-for-22 en route to 25 points in addition to six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lockamy has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cora Hadley, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 17 boards.

Oak Grove smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Ledford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Izzy Smith posted 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Smith has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played.

Oak Grove's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Ledford, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Oak Grove will take on Foard at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th. Foard is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Ledford, they will welcome East Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Ledford has won four straight at home, while East Rowan won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
