Minor is a perfect 10-0 against Jackson-Olin since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Jackson-Olin took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Minor, who comes in off a win.
Minor took a loss when they played away from home back in March, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Parker as they made off with a 9-1 win. Considering the Tigers have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Daniyah Westbrook made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Minor let Latessa Murphy and Rhian Williams run wild. Murphy scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances, while Williams scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Murphy has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makiyah Motley, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Minor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parker only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Jackson-Olin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of Carver Birmingham. Even if the Mustangs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Jackson-Olin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Minor, their record now sits at 9-6.
Everything went Minor's way against Jackson-Olin in their previous meeting back in March, as Minor made off with a 17-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
