If McClave wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Yuma, they should've done a better job of containing Brody Sheffield. The Outlaws secured a 59-54 W over the Cardinals on Friday with plenty of help from Sheffield, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and ten boards. His big performance that evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Alex Pensado was another key player, putting up ten points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tuff Kelley, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jr. Mungaray, who posted eight points and eight boards.

Yuma's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for McClave, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Yuma has already played their next contest, a 69-58 win against Sidney on the 13th. As for McClave, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-43 victory against Fleming on the 13th.
