The Martinsville Bluestreaks can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They managed a 32-27 victory over Dugger Union. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Martinsville has managed all season.
Dugger Union lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sage Stahl, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Flanders, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Martinsville's victory ended a 15-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-16. As for Dugger Union, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.
Martinsville will head out on the road to challenge Sandoval at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dugger Union, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against North Central at 6:00 p.m.
