In what's become a running theme this season, the Spalding Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 83-59 margin over Griffin. The win was nothing new for Spalding as they're now sitting on four straight.
It was another big night for Cedric Evans, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 17 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Curt Clark, who scored 19 points along with six steals.
Spalding's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Griffin, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-11.
Spalding does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Griffin will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. West Laurens has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5.
