The Bellevue Broncos couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a rough 64-16 loss at the hands of Springport. Bellevue was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-11.
Maddux Locke was a one-man wrecking crew for Springport as she dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Siefert, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Bellevue's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Springport, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellevue will take on Mendon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springport, they will be playing at home against Leslie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
