Softball Recap: Valley Head Has No Trouble Against Woodville

Valley Head's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Woodville Panthers with a sharp 13-3 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 17-0 win back in March.

Olivia Harrison made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Harrison was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gracie Black, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Olivia Woods, who got on base in two of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Valley Head's victory bumped their record up to 11-21-2. As for Woodville, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Valley Head has already played their next game (against Skyline), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Woodville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
