Franklin-Simpson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reesha Cawthorn, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Cawthorn hasn't dropped below 16 points for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Kloie Smith, who scored 18 points.
Franklin-Simpson's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. As for Barren County, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
Franklin-Simpson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-14 win vs. Logan County on the 9th. Barren County has also already played their next matchup, a 53-43 win against Monroe County on the 9th.
