The Switzerland County Pacers will take on the Rising Sun Shiners at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Switzerland County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Switzerland County came out on top against Milan on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Pacers walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Indians.

Zayne Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jackson Sparks, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Hite, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Rising Sun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lawrenceburg. That's two games in a row now that the Shiners have lost by exactly four runs.

Aiden White was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was DJ Williams, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Rising Sun's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Switzerland County, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Rising Sun's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Switzerland County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. It's a different story for Rising Sun, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Switzerland County's hitters?
