Clare extended the longest winning streak in Jack Pine this week by beating Standish-Sterling, 29-24. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Clare and the Panthers played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Clare eventually emerging with a 29-24 victory. Zack Tyler threw for 92 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 23 yards in the win.
Gladwin's Landon Grove and Demetri Trice have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Grove has thrown for 1340 yards this season, while Trice, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 27 catches for 700 yards. Roscommon's Brett Jobin leads the league in rushing yards with 1084.
In 138 carries Grove has accumulated 970 yard this year.
Kelly Luplow's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,827 from 5,170. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 29-24 victory over Standish-Sterling last week.
