The Romulus Eagles stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 68-19 victory over Annapolis at home. The win was nothing new for Romulus as they're now sitting on five straight.
Romulus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karma Jones-Johnson, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and five assists. Jones-Johnson hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Samaira Searcy, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Romulus is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Annapolis, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Thurston the next time they take the court. Romulus will host Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Annapolis will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
