Verona and Brearley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Verona had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Bears. The Hillbillies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Verona's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Brearley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Verona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brearley, they will challenge Midland Park on Monday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
