Columbus East's game  last Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They blew past the Decatur Central Hawks 12-2. For the Olympians, this counts as revenge for the   13-7 victory the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2024.

 Eli Tindell looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. What's more,  he posted three  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 On the hitting side,  Jackson Watkins was  incredible,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  J.D. Rotert, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Columbus East  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Decatur Central only posted  an  OBP of  .364.
The  win  got Columbus East back to even at 1-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus East will host Corydon Central  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Decatur Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perry Meridian  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
