After flying high against the Mt. Shasta Bears last Friday, The Trinity Wolves came back down to earth. The game between Trinity and Williams wasn't particularly close, with Trinity falling 52-36. Trinity was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Williams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Trinity lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Ty Moodie. Despite the final result, he rushed for 328 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Moodie was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
Alejandro Hernandez was a one-man wrecking crew for Williams as he rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Another player making a difference was Ian Rosales, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Trinity has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Williams, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-6.
Trinity will be playing at home against Willows at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Willows is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Williams, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
