Softball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Needles Mustangs by a score of 10-9.

Saralynn Hair was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Haylee Krug was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Hair wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Mountain View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Needles, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Coming up, Mountain View will square off against American Fork at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last four games Mountain View has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Needles, they will take on Bishop Kelly at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop Kelly will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Needles surely won't give up without a fight.
