The Washington Christian Academy Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Washington International Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Washington Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They managed a 54-50 victory over Spencerville Adventist Academy.
Meanwhile, Washington International had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 56-46 win over Model Secondary School for the Deaf.
Washington International's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jeremy Bedard, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals, and Dylan Anderson , who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least 25% of Washington International's points.
Washington Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Washington International, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Washington Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Washington International in their previous matchup back in January of 2019, winning 63-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Washington Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
