Meanwhile, while Chisum put up some runs last Monday, the same can't be said for Quitman. The Mustangs came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-0.
Quitman's batters probably weren't too happy with Drake Howard, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (he gave up three walks).
At the plate, Chisum secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Brayden Jordan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Karsyn Hines was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.
The win got HCYA back to even at 8-8-1. As for Chisum, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.
