Arianna Mercado continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for East New York Family Academy, shooting 5-for-11 from deep and dropping a double-double on 30 points and 12 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Eugene, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Midwood dropped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.8 points per game. As for East New York Family Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
