Pittsfield won the last time they faced Beardstown and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Saukees blew past the Tigers 10-3. Considering the Saukees have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Draven Puterbaugh was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off 11 hits. Puterbaugh was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Clayton Reinhardt and Lane Foster did most of the damage at the plate: Reinhardt went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI, while Foster scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those four RBI gave Reinhardt a new career-high. Luke Saxe was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Pittsfield's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Beardstown, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

Coming up, Pittsfield is taking a road trip to challenge Camp Point Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Beardstown, they will welcome Rushville-Industry at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
