Freedom came out on top against Bethlehem Catholic on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Patriots blew past the Hawks 10-1. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

John Phillips was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Colin Andrews was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two runs. Ryan Kullman was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Freedom kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethlehem Catholic only managed four hits.

Freedom pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Freedom will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Northampton at 4:00 p.m. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge Easton Area at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rovers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
