After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Edison, Lansing was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spencer-Van Etten Panthers, sneaking past 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-3 on April 3rd.
Piper Mason made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Mason was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As for Spencer-Van Etten, they will head out on the road to square off against Watkins Glen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
