When it comes to explaining why Wolfe County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Corey Flinchum. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points. The match was Flinchum's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Creech, who scored 14 points along with seven assists.
Wolfe County bumped their record down to 4-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Breathitt County, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
