Coyle took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 66-16 victory over Copan. Considering Coyle has won five matchups by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Coyle to victory were John Tarbox and Alex Jennings. Tarbox rushed for 183 yards while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, while Jennings rushed for 180 yards while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Tarbox hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Copan's loss came despite strong showings from Weston O?Rourke and Kane Foreman. O?Rourke gained 126 total yards and a touchdown, while Foreman threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns.
Coyle's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Copan, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Coyle will head out on the road to face off against Wesleyan Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wesleyan Christian is on a three-game streak of home wins, Coyle a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Copan will take on Oaks-Mission at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Oaks-Mission is ranked 79th, while Copan is ranked 60th).
