Aedan Mccarthy Turns in Season-Best Effort
Bluffton was led to victory by Aedan Mccarthy, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mccarthy threw for 239 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 93 yards on only 13 carries.
On the year, Mccarthy has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 236.8 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging seven rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 63.83 rushing yards.

Andrew Johnson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading May River to the win on Friday. Those 147 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
The win for May River keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Johnson and May River will venture away from home to face off against Bishop England at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The second Bluffton player making an appearance here is Carnell Warren, and for good reason. He picked up 139 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
For the year, Warren has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 78.8 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had four receiving touchdowns.

May River Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Tanner Macy
Tanner Macy was instrumental in extending May River's winning streak to five on Friday. Macy was unstoppable, rushing for 32 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 39 yards and two touchdowns.
Macy must have Colleton County's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Macy saw the Cougars), he rushed for 258 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 84 yards and two touchdowns.

Asa Haskins Makes It Three for May River
Another May River player making an appearance on this list is Asa Haskins. He rushed for 98 yards on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown.
