The Indio Rajahs will head out to take on the Northview Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Indio is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Chino, sneaking past 15-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rajahs have posted since March 20th.

The team relied heavily on Jaeda Diaz, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Audra Higgins, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Indio kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Northview waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Sun Devils. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by just one run.
Clementina Duran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
Indio has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Northview, they pushed their record up to 20-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Indio hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. However, it's not like Northview struggles in that department as they've averaged .376. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
