The Pinon Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 96-9 victory over Greyhills Academy at home. The win was some much needed relief for Pinon as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Pinon was led to victory by Kylie Bia and Shanna Begaye. Bia scored 22 points along with five assists and two steals, while Begaye scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Begaye has scored all season. Aliyah Tsedah was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Pinon's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for Greyhills Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-17 with that defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Pinon will face off against Music Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greyhills Academy, they will be playing at home against Grand Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
