Hart extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Matix Frithsmith. The Hawks walked away with a 40-28 win over the Golden Valley Grizzlies on Friday for which the team can thank Frithsmith, who rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 52 receiving yards. Hart is undefeated when Frithsmith posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
One reason for the win was Hart's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Golden Valley's QB won't forget Josh Whitson anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Whitson is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted 1.5 or more in each of the last four games he's played.
When it comes to explaining why Golden Valley lost, don't look at Jayce Johnson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 57 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 169 yards and one TD.
Hart's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Golden Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
