It's playoff time, and St. Edward had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 31-26 win over the St. Francis Spartans on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Green Wave, who have now won five games in a row.

Savannah Lynch produced another solid performance picking up 172 receiving yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 101 yards on only seven carries. Her longest reception was for an incredible 88 yards. Layne Dawson was another key player, rushing for 22 yards and one score.

Despite the loss, St. Francis still got an impressive performance from Allie Sheldon, who rushed for 195 yards and one touchdown while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Sheldon also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up three sacks and making six total tackles (4.0 for loss).

St. Edward's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for St. Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

St. Edward didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-12 loss against Willowbrook on the 8th. St. Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
