Wasatch extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 15-10. They came up short against the Maple Mountain Eagles, falling 11-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 on Friday.
Wasatch saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Brown, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another was Eddie Bluth, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
As for Maple Mountain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
On Maple Mountain's side, Jeremiah Hall made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hall has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Kavyn Carter looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
Back at the plate, Maple Mountain let Brooks Pratt and Lincoln Beenfield run wild. Pratt went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Beenfield went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Beenfield has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Renz, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
As of now, neither Wasatch nor Maple Mountain have any future games scheduled.
