Rockford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nora Piela, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayna Johnson, who scored 10 points.
Rockford now has a losing record at 2-3. As for South St. Paul, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockford will square off against Superior at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for South St. Paul, they will head out on the road to face off against Fridley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fridley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three matches.
