The Bainbridge Bearcats were the 50-33 winner over the Hardaway Hawks when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Bainbridge took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hardaway.
Hardaway's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mekhi Benton, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Lamell Mims was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bainbridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Hardaway, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8.
Bainbridge's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cairo at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Cairo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Bainbridge is ranked 113th). As for Hardaway, they will head out on the road to challenge Russell County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
