Rocky Mountain is 2-8 against the Brave since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies are on the road again and plays the Boise Brave on February 9th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Rocky Mountain faced the Vikings in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rocky Mountain snuck past the Vikings with a 62-57 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rocky Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anna Dabell, who scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Averee Osterhout, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Boise waltzed into their game on Saturday with 17 straight wins but they left with 18. They came out on top against Owyhee by a score of 58-47.
Rocky Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Boise, they pushed their record up to 21-1 with that win, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Things could have been worse for Rocky Mountain, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-36 loss to the Brave when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Boise's Avery Howell, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. Now that Rocky Mountain knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
