Henderson County extended the longest winning streak in 6A District 1 this week by beating Marshall County, 35-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Daviess County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,558 from 10,096. The advance stemmed from a 57-0 victory over Muhlenberg County last week.
Daviess County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jared McEwen has thrown for 454 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Blake Roberts has 39 catches for 523 yards. Chase Lecroy leads the league in rushing with 358 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Panthers take on the Marshals. At the moment, Daviess County is in third, while Marshall County is in second.
Marcus Kimbrell's team led 6A District 1 in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on Muhlenberg County. Ronnie Reed ran for 123 yards in the win.
