Baseball Recap: General Mclane Has No Trouble Against Corry

After only two runs in their last game, General McLane made sure to put some runs up on the board against Corry on Thursday. The Lancers blew past the Beavers 10-0. Considering the Lancers have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Charlie Salvo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kellen Chelton was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Owen Eisert was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

General McLane's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Corry, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. General McLane will square off against Fort LeBoeuf at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers are facing the Bison at the right time seeing as the Bison are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Corry, they will take on Conneaut Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
