The Northwestern Warriors lost against the Shawnee Braves back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Northwestern had to suffer through a rough 59-27 loss at the hands of Shawnee. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northwestern in their matchups with Shawnee: they've now lost four in a row.
Northwestern's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Bechtel, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Shaffer, who scored six points.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Shawnee, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will take on Kenton Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawnee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tecumseh at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tecumseh is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
