The Millard North Mustangs's road trip will continue as they head out to face Elkhorn North on January 20th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard on Saturday.
Last Tuesday, Millard North faced Lincoln Northeast in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Millard North fell to Lincoln Northeast 75-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (61), Millard North still had to take the loss.
Sara Harley put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Avril Smith, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Elkhorn North put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Lincoln Northwest on the road to the tune of 90-12. Elkhorn North has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season.
Millard North's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Elkhorn North, their victory was their 12th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
