Danbury won the last time they faced South Central and things went their way on Saturday too. The Danbury Lakers claimed a resounding 56-10 win over the South Central Trojans. The Lakers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 25 points or more this season.

Danbury got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mia McDonald out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Brown, who posted nine points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.

Danbury smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Danbury is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.1 points over those games. As for South Central, they dropped their record down to 1-22 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Danbury will welcome Lucas at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
