Chestnut Ridge scaled the state rankings by moving to 163 from 215 this week, the biggest jump in Freelance. The Lions were able to move up by besting Bedford 55-21.
Chestnut Ridge took down the Bison 55-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Joseph's Catholic Academy's Phillip Fenstermacker and Mike Jabco have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Fenstermacker has thrown for 813 yards this season, while Jabco has 28 catches for 439 yards. Max Shoemaker's team's Matt Wiley leads the league in rushing yards with 909.
The Lions' Wiley is a mere 91 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Wiley has rushed for 909 yards on 147 carries so far this year.
Chestnut Ridge made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,863 from 5,211. The improvement was largely due to a 55-21 victory over Bedford last week.
