The Vacaville Christian Falcons will face off against the Golden Sierra Grizzlies at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Vacaville Christian got the win against Highlands by a conclusive 18-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.
Elena Vizcay made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Vizcay was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Lexi Martinez and Hazel Campbell did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Campbell went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Campbell a new career-high. Juliana Prothro was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Vacaville Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, while Golden Sierra put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for San Juan. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 28-0 victory. The Grizzlies' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Tessa Hill was incredible, firing off three home runs, ten RBI, and four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Miller, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Vacaville Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Golden Sierra, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Vacaville Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Golden Sierra struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Vacaville Christian suffered a grim 26-16 defeat to Golden Sierra when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
