Clear Brook is 2-8 against Deer Park since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Deer at 6:00 p.m.
On Thursday, Clear Brook came up short against Dickinson and fell 3-1. While the Wolverines didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Gators 25-21 in the first set.
Clear Brook started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 29-27, 25-21, 25-20.
Meanwhile, Deer Park had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Deer have posted since September 2nd.
Deer Park was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-96), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-23, 12-25, 26-24, 18-25, 15-7.
Deer Park's victory bumped their record up to 19-16. As for Clear Brook, their loss dropped their record down to 16-20.
