Wingfield is on a three-game streak of home losses, Warren Central a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Wingfield Falcons will take on the Warren Central Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Wingfield came up short against Jim Hill and fell 79-69. Wingfield has struggled against Jim Hill recently, as their contest on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Wingfield saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tyler Arrington, who scored 22 points, was perhaps the best of all. Arrington scored a full 31.9% of Wingfield's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kentrell Jordan, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, Warren Central humbled Jim Hill with a 72-43 victory.
The losses dropped Wingfield to 0-6 and Jim Hill to 2-6.
Wingfield came up short against Warren Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, falling 55-50. Can Wingfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
