Basketball Recap: Bella Vista Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Bella Vista Broncos were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-37 to the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Bella Vista still got an impressive performance from Ellie Thome, who posted 20 points and three steals. Thome's evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Mackenzie Dean was another key player, putting up two points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

It was another big night for Ashtyn Magee, who went 6 of 7 on her way to 13 points and eight rebounds for Twelve Bridges. Magee is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Addison Carpenter was another key player, posting nine points along with eight boards and four steals.

Bella Vista's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Twelve Bridges, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Bella Vista will challenge Amador at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Amador will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Bella Vista surely won't give up without a fight. As for Twelve Bridges, they will take on Laguna Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Twelve Bridges' defense has only allowed 22.8 points per game this season, so Laguna Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them.
