Elyssa Alcazar posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, she produced her best game of the campaign: she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
