The Metter Tigers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They breezed by Southeast Bulloch at home to the tune of 67-20. The victory was nothing new for Metter as they're now sitting on four straight.
Metter found their leader in underclassman Zion Saffore, who scored 27 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saffore has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Za'kyah Byrd, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Metter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Southeast Bulloch, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metter and Johnson County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Johnson County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. As for Southeast Bulloch, they will head out on the road to square off against Wayne County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne County will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Southeast Bulloch surely won't give up without a fight.
