Softball Recap: Horseshoe Bend Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Horseshoe Bend barely beat Childersburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Horseshoe Bend blew past Childersburg 11-4 on Saturday. Considering the Generals have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Caralina Tidwell was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Hunter, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.

Horseshoe Bend's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Childersburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Horseshoe Bend will face off against Ranburne at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Childersburg, they will challenge Central of Clay County at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Central of Clay County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Childersburg surely won't give up without a fight.
