The Weber School Rams will head out on the road to take on the Atlanta Girls' School Hurricanes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
The Weber School came tearing into back in December of 2023's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Heritage Preparatory by a score of 32-25.
Meanwhile, Atlanta Girls' School entered their tilt with Dominion Christian with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Atlanta Girls' School walked away with a 54-43 victory over Dominion Christian on Friday. 54 seems to be a good number for Atlanta Girls' School as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Atlanta Girls' School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Libby Knott, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Knott has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zayna Khalifa, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
The Weber School pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Atlanta Girls' School's record is now 11-3.
The Weber School might still be hurting after the 36-14 defeat they got from Atlanta Girls' School in their previous meeting back in December of 2021. Can The Weber School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
