The IDEA Sports Park Stingrays scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 83-66 victory over IDEA Frontier College Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, IDEA Frontier College Prep still got an impressive performance from Victor Mendez, who scored 26 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Mendez scored a full 39.4% of IDEA Frontier College Prep's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Alejandro Maldonado was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
IDEA Sports Park pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points per game. As for IDEA Frontier College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
