The Milan Big Reds's six-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Garden City 78-40 at home. Milan's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the loss, Garden City saw an underclassman step up: Drake Willis scored 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hiett, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Milan's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Garden City, their loss was their 16th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-10.
Milan won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Garden City, they will head out on the road to face off against Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Thurston presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Garden City in Michigan (Thurston is ranked 271st, while Garden City is ranked 676th).
