In what's become a running theme this season, the Hamilton Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Frost 61-34 at home. Winning may never get old, but Hamilton sure is getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Hamilton had a senior duo take command as Kelton Wright almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds and Brooklyn Bragg dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Bragg is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emery Parrott, who scored five points along with three steals.
Several Polar Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brenda Manrriquez, who scored 15 points along with three steals. That was a full 44.1% of Frost's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Karlee Anderson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Frost struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. As for Frost, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-6.
Hamilton will square off against Hico at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton is coming into the contest with seven straight victories on the road, meaning Hico will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Frost does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
